The City of Huntington Park partnered with the HUB Cities Worksource Consortium and the California Latino Leadership Institute to launch the innovative 2016 Huntington Park Youth Employment & Civic Engagement Program (HP Fellows). The goal of the program is to provide Huntington Park youth, ages 16-18, with valuable technical skills that they can use in the workforce and to expose them to civic engagement activities.
The program is designed as a 7-week summer paid fellowship that is funded from the City's Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) monies, the California Community Foundation, and Union Bank.
