General Municipal Election

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to California Elections Code Section 10403.5(e), that the date of the General Municipal election in the City of Huntington Park has been changed from the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March of odd years to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March of even years, effective March 2020.  The next Municipal Election for the position of Huntington Park City Council will be held on March 3, 2020.  The terms of all current elected officeholders will be extended by one year.  More information may be obtained by calling the Office of the City Clerk at (323) 584-6230. 

Voter Registration Information


To be eligible to vote, you must meet the following requirements:
  • A citizen of the United States.
  • At least 18 years of age or older on or before Election Day.
  • Not found mentally incompetent by court of law.
  • You are not
    • Serving a state prison term for a felony conviction in a County jail under contract between state and local officials.
    • On parole/probation for a felony conviction as a condition of your release from prison/jail.

  • Go online by using the California Voter Registration System.
  • Mail a completed voter registration form, which can be obtained by picking up a voter registration form at most government buildings.
  • In person at one of the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk offices
