Athletic Fields

Parks Maintenance monitors and maintains Otero Baseball fields, two soccer fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts and tennis courts as are the skate board park, the jogging trail and exercise equipment.

Field Maintenance

The City’s athletic fields are maintained both by private contractors and City staff. Fields are maintained in a safe and playable condition all year as the facilities are always open to the public, except during annual renovations. However, some fields are prepared in anticipation of scheduled league games and are posted requesting park users to remain off the fields. Please comply with this request.

Inclement Weather

During inclement weather, the fields may be closed for the safety of players and to protect the condition of the fields. Call the Parks & Recreation Department at 323-584-6218 for field status.
